Today, a match was played between England and India at Edgbaston, Birmingham, England. Both teams were very strong and the idea of both squads coming in front of each other was very exciting. Asian fans were looking at both teams to know who was going to win. Now, we know that the results are out and it was a lucky day for team England. They have won the match by 31 runs.

England won the toss and decided to bat first and they sent Jason Roy and Bairstow to stand in front of the Indian bowlers to set up a big total. The Duo made 160 runs on the first wicket but soon, Kuldeep got the wicket of Roy.

Ravindra got the catch of Roy at 66 balls for 57 balls. Bairstow continued to make more runs and scored his first half-century in this entire tournament. They made a total of 337/7.

After crossing 200 runs, Shami’s double bowl brought his team back in the match. In the 32nd over, he sent back Bairstow to the pavilion at 111 for 109 balls. It was the second wicket of Team England but in the next over, Morgan made only 1 run. Shami took 5 wickets today in which Root, Buttler, and Chris were also included. All of them were in the death overs but Root managed to make 44 runs, Buttler scored 20 runs, and Woakes collected 7 runs. Ben Stokes played a long knock for his team and collected 79 runs. He made his 4th half-century in this world cup and it was his 19th ODI half-century.

Virat played well and scored 66 runs for his team but Plunkett got rid of him and took 3 wickets today. Kohli shared a partnership with Sharma by making 138 runs.

Woakes sent KL Rahul out of the pitch at zero runs and took total 2 wickets. Sharma collected 102 runs, Dhoni made 42, Pandya scored 45, and Rishabh and Jadhav made 32 and 12 run each.

It does not matter, what results came out but both teams played very well. They were in the fighting mode and tried hard to gain victory.

In the game, there is only one side that has to win and it was a blessed moment for team England. The semifinals are coming near and we have to see who will remain in this tournament and who will go back home without winning the World Cup trophy.
