June 13, Thursday is the most awaiting day for ODI 18 of 48. An exhilarating and smoldering match is going to be held between most favorite India and New Zealand in Trent Bridge, Nottingham, England.
New Zealand has had a mythical run in the ongoing world cup, where they won all three matches against Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh. The Kiwis are presently positioned at the top of the points table. They are next set to play the game with India and they can take heart from the fact that they conquered the Indian team in the Warmups.
India on the opposite hand has shown why they were ranking on the second position of ODI teams. Virat Kohli’s boys smacked South Africa with a six wickets loss and won the match against Australia with a 36-run victory. His powerful player Shikhar Dhawan will not be participating in the game due to thumb injury but India has enough firepower.
The match against India is the real test for New Zealand but Indians have no idea how dangerous the kiwis can be. It is not going to be a lighter match either because both teams are very strong and remain unbeaten in the current world cup.
Both teams are going to play in the Trent Bridge stadium which is the highest scoring ground in the cricket world. There are extremely small boundaries and a flat pitch that is favorable for the batsmen. We think that India would want to chase first if they will get the chance because setting a target is very tricky at Trent Bridge.
Indian batting order looks quite well sorted at this moment and we are not expecting any changes right before the game against New Zealand. The top order will be cautious of the ground but we think they won’t feel bothered about the bowlers of the other team.
Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal are the best bowlers from the Indian side so far. Both are bowling at a high level and can be anticipated to do the same.
India will take advantage of the ideal form of Bhuvaneshwar Kumar because his wicket-taking skills can help India to reduce to gap for winning the game.
In the kiwi’s team, Martin Guptill and Colin Munro are in the excellent form for the opening partnership. Both score at a fast run-rate that can make troubles for the India bowlers. Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor are also in the superb rhythm to play in the middle-order.
The biggest threat for the kiwi’s batsmen is going to come from the snipers. They were unable to figure them out in the previous matches held in New Zealand. Attack has to be the ideal option to win the game otherwise due to free bowling; the half-match will be lost.
