Today, Sri Lanka and West Indies were facing each other in the Riverside Durham, Chester-le-Street. Both teams are out of the semifinals race, so they were playing just for pride. West Indies won the toss and decided to bowl first. In the first over, from Sri Lankan side, Perera and Dimuth came to face the bowlers. Perera made 64 runs and Dimuth scored 32 runs for his team. Sunil Ambris and Chris Gayle came as openers by West Indies side but Malinga took the wicket of Sunil Ambris at zero runs. Shai Hope was also out at 5 runs by Malinga and he took total 2 wickets today. Kasun Rajitha took one wicket and Dhananjaya de Silva made 6 runs in this match.

West Indies was out of track after losing 4 wickets and all the responsibility was on the captain Jason and Pooran. Jeffrey Vandersay took the Wicket of Jason. Nicholas Pooran scored his 2nd half-century with a wonderful six in the 32nd over.

Carlos Brathwaite went back to the pavilion at 8 runs only. Pooran played very well and scored a total of 118 runs.
